These sprouts are about 1 week old, I already applied pipe cleaners. Is it too early? I figured earlier the better since the stems haven't hardened. Thoughts?

I'm a newbie interesting in doing a pc micro grow. I have already made a box, and I have started three plants. I am hoping for at least one strong female (I actually hope that two are male so I can use the space for one plant) I am NOT interested in obtaining a maximum yield, nor am I expecting...
