Posting pics makes it easier to diagnose problems. If you have a mold problem tend to it immediately or it could cost you your whole crop.

If you have a strain like white widow that is trich crazy, the fans leaves are good. But lick hick said there has to be trichs there. I don't use the fan leaves from my harvest, just the stickers and popcorn buds. I don't use stems either.

I would be surprised if you were showing sex this early. If the plant is old enough to show preflowers then you would have known before you started your 12/12

I use a cool tube with my 400 watt light, its the only way to go.

I have a air cooled 400 watt HPS 300cfm fan pulling cool air from the basement and venting to the garage. My plants are 4" from the light.
