    Amber Trichomes

I'm on my second crop for the year. I'm growing "Chem dawg". If you go by the flowering time suggested by the seed co. they say 8-10weeks. I googled the same question and got several different flowering times but one said 3 months. I'm in day 85 of the plants and only see traces of amber...

    Trichrome Question

It's been a long time since I have been on the forums but I am puzzled by the trichomes on my plants. I look at them through my microscope and notice some turning amber. A day or two later, they are no longer amber but turn back to cloudy. Is there something I'm doing wrong? The plants have been...

    Drying

If you think your buds are too dry put them in a ziplock bag and take a few cotton balls, wet them, put them in little sandwich bags, and put them in the ziplock with the buds. Be careful not to wet the buds. Just leave the little sandwich bags open and seal the big zip lock bag closed. Your...

    Amber Trichomes

This may sound crazy but my plants, Skunk #1, have been in their flowering stage for 96 days!! I use a microscope and although the Trichomes are mostly all cloudy, I don't see more than a few Ambers. Of course the seed info says they are ready for harvest in 49-55 days, but I was no where near...

    Light question

Thanks for your feedback. I do almost the same but it seems to be taking a long time for the trichomes to turn amber and I have read that shortening the light cycle can make them turn faster. My plants have been flowering for 93 days now but after looking at them this morning I am starting to...

    Light question

In the past I have read that cutting the light cycle by about 1/2 hour to 1 hour can bring the plants to harvest quicker and make them stronger. Has anyone tried this and does it work? I've been growing for years but never tried this.

    Ready to harvest
