Yes, just add water to dilute your res. 500-700 ppm seems light to me. I run them up around upper 1400's of course it depends on your strain. I would bring it up until they are showing burn and then drop it down. You have to give your girls as much as you can:)

I don't scrape at all, I just slice a little up the middle to expose more rooting area. I suggest making the outside of your res light proof. You might end up algae in your res. I had a cler spray bottle in next to my cloner and after a while I ended up seeing green algae in the bottle.

Yes, she makes a good point about res temp. Ideal res temp should be 60 degrees. The water in the res hold the most oxygen at 60 degrees but, you would have to be way off to show nute deficiencies like that. Have you tried switching nutes? I would stay on the light side of on nutes as well...

If it is not in the res, I am thinking something airborn. Some older houses release gases ect, especially in the basement. But the leaves are not acting like they are having trouble breathing. I would start in the res, maybe you got something nasty inside, change nutes...hmm , if your recycling...

No, you don't need any other chems. Just keep a small amount of your old nutes in your res and then add water to flush. This helps the build up bond with the water and actually will remove more than just strait water

I have a suggestion for keeping your heat down. You can take a piece of furniture of some type and place it up against the wall of your grow room onthe outside. Make a hole from you grow room to your "secret" baffle ,Then gut the piece of furniture and turn it into a baffle that will let air in...

I flush mine every 2 weeks. It is more advantagious to flush with a weak nute solution. Having 10% of your old res water in the flush allows for the molicules to bond easier. Most final flush additives are just weak nut solutions. I think flush times also depend on how big your res is and how...
