    Flowering on shade leaf stem

Has anyone seen bud growing on the stems of the shade leaves? I don't recall seeing this before. It is only doing it on my strain of blueberry.

Trimming water leaves 3 weeks into flower

I'm not saying to remove all the shade leaves, but some yes. I don't know specifics, but I think it's somewhat common knowledge that pruning plants will help them to grow bigger yields. Am I just confused? It's possible.

Trimming water leaves 3 weeks into flower

I appreciate everyones opinion on this matter. I have learned a ton on this site from reading all of your posts and am gratefull for the knowledge. I'm sure you all have much more experience than I do. I have just always trimmed shade leaves. Not all of them, but a lot of the upper leaves &...

    Lollypop

I have a pack of these and was debating popping them. After reading this thread, i'm ready. I have almost the exact same setup except i'm running DWC. Very curious what kind of results you will get.

    Why Hydro?

I have done both soil and now hydro. I really like the fact that I don't need to buy soil, deal with transplanting, & then dispose of the soil. Bugs are always a problem with soil too. Yes all around hydro is easier. Less maintainance. I think it grows faster. I get better yields, but I have...

    pruning in flowering?

Using a 600 hps. Temps in mid 70s consistantly. That strain is lemon skunk. Sativa dominent. The strain in front is blueberry. I put that one in flower a week before the tall one in back.

    pruning in flowering?

I think it's fairly inexpensive to maintain. I really like the fact that I no longer need to buy soil, deal with transplanting, and then disposing of soil. Thats a lot of work right there. With Hydro I only have water and hydroton which is reusable. I feel like it grows faster than soil and...

    Anyone Grown Pineapple Chunk???

    pruning in flowering?

There are 4 plants here. I put them in one week after another. None of these were veged for more than a few days. The tall one in the back was literally 4" tall when I put it into flower 4 weeks ago.

    pruning in flowering?

LOL I forgot about Larry!! He gave me a little over 5oz dry, but he was very hard to clone.

    pruning in flowering?

I only veg for a few weeks. My ceiling height is 6' 2" so I don't have much room to veg. I used to grow with soil and got maybe 2oz per plant dry. As soon as I switched to DWC, I started getting a minimum of 4oz dry. I just have 1 600 HPS in a 3x5 space with mylar on the walls. I try to cut the...

    trimming the bottom 1/3?

Yes it's way too late to prune. Cut all that **** off early. Cut it way back. It will pay off when your cutting down.

Running nutes all the way through

I do hydro and flushing was bad when I tried it. The plants need nutes until the day you cut down.

    clone roots

7-14 days, but they can take as long as 21-28. As long as they are green, leave them alone. Temp matters, big time, along with PH.

Trimming water leaves 3 weeks into flower

Ok so I have been trimming shade leaves for a while and have found no negative effects. I prune throughout the entire flower cycle. I have a DWC setup with one 600w HPS in a 3 x 5 space. I'm averaging 5-8oz per plant dry. I've been getting these results for a few years with several strains...

    pruning in flowering?

I prune throughout the entire flowering cycle with no negative effects. When I first put them into flower, I mostly just do a little thinning. After a week or two, I do a major prune where I remove most of the bottom third of the plant. All that little stuff is just a waste of energy. Then I...

    4' by 2.5', additional light?

Yes I would add another 400 to your setup, but keep in mind that heat is a factor. You might just want to switch to a 600. A 600 is more energy effecient and would stay cooler than two 400's.

Your average Yield and method with a 600w.

I'm averaging 5-8 oz per plant dry. Had one last year produce 17 oz off one plant. Just running one 600w HPS in a 3 x 5 space. DWC.
