No way to adapt old tip to new pipe?

The reason I asked for the pic was being a machinist I thought I could help with your pipe, I machine brass one hitters for friends all the time, but they are short round ones about 4" long. May sound dumb, but maybe clear nail polish might help. Beautiful pipe by the way.

Thanks for the comments. Its just a hobby I dabble in....... Never sold a painting or tried, I give away to family and friends. I call in advance before I visit so they have time to hang it before I get there! LOL!!

Here in the UP, winters can be long.

Got nailed up here with 7" and tied a record low of 15 deg this morning.
