    Most reliable seedbank???

I must say that the germination rate I get from Herbie's seeds is very poor. I've had much better results from seeds bought from breeder shops.

    Best way to source seeds

I was wondering if there is any benefit to buying directly from breeders rather than from resellers? Are you more likely to get fresher seeds or a better selection from breeders? I notice that resellers often offer stealth shipping where they take the seeds out of their packaging and mail the...

Any small oscillating fans that are not crap?

Thanks. Unfortunately, they don't sell those here in the UK.

Any small oscillating fans that are not crap?

For years, I have been trying to find a small (6-7 inch diameter) oscillating fan for my grow tent that was reliable, but the oscillation always breaks down after a time. A steady fan on the plants can produce windburn, so I avoid non-oscillating fans. The bigger fans are more robust, but I...

    Opinions about Gorilla Glue #4

Thanks. I have a 1 x 1 x 2M tent that should be high enough and I want to top them and then do some lst to get an even canopy. I'm using 600W HID lights so I need to keep the plants at least 12 inches away from the tops. Would you suggest any optimal pot size and number of plants for my space...

    Opinions about Gorilla Glue #4

Has anyone grown this strain in soil? The seeds are feminized photoperiods from Original Sensible Seeds What were your opinions about its potency and yield? Did it stretch a lot? Thanks for any advice.

    Am I watering wrong?

Lol...indeed. It seems everyone has their own opinions on how to water.

    Am I watering wrong?

Thanks. That's the problem. The roots need oxygen but don't get it if the soil is always wet, but how moist should it be? I know that I water my house plants more often that I do the pot plants, and they don't seem to suffer from the moist soil, but they must also need oxygen for their roots, so...

    Am I watering wrong?

I have been disappointed with the size of my plants recently and was wondering if I am watering them wrong? I worry that I am taking the idea of letting them get very dry and then watering to runoff too far. The advice is to check the dryness of the pot soil by using your finger up to the third...

Best soil for auto flowers ?

I've never used coco just soil and perlite. The best soil I found was canna terra pro plus, and when mixed with about 20% perlite gives a good draining soil. I use it for auto flowers and photoperiods with no problem. There's a website called Grow Weed Easy that has tons of great info on all...

    Got some CalMag

I also wonder about it. In my area, the water is hard and the ph is high (about 8.2 out of the tap) partially from calcium and magnesium already in it, so I wonder if I should be adding it to my nute solution. If you live in a soft water area, then I'd say you should use it.

    Incredible Bulk

Lol...I am an amateur, but I have had good germination results by planting the seeds in root riot plugs and setting the plugs in a small heated propagator in the dark with a lot of moisture. See the pics below. I rinse the plugs in mild nutes with extra canna rhyzotonic before inserting the...

    Incredible Bulk

I had the opposite problem. I could only grow one hydro bucket in my tent so I planted three seeds, hoping one would come out, but all three sprouted. I can't bring myself to kill good plants, so I put the two extra seedlings in 1L soil pots and let them grow in the corners of the tent. They...

    Incredible Bulk

just to follow up, I grew one incredible bulk in hydro and the smoke was very good and the plant produced 220g of dried buds and 125g of good shake for canna butter. I would recommend it for both quality and quality, and it was easy to grow.

    Roots of the month?

The bucket ranged from 18-21C on a daily basis I can only do a hydro grow during winter because the Rez temp would get too high the rest of the year.

    Roots of the month?

I noticed that they have a bud of the month contest here, and was wondering if there was a roots of the month contest? These are from a photoperiod plant grown in a 30L bubble bucket in about 25L of nute solution with a big airstone. I was careful to keep any light out of the bucket and the...

Cheap LED light to start seedlings?

For seedlings and early veg, that's not necessary, but if your seedlings start out with long spindly stems because they are searching for light, you may limit the potential of your plant. That seems like a false economy to me.

Cheap LED light to start seedlings?

You want to give your plants a good start, so making them stretch to find some weak light as seedlings might be penny wise but pound foolish, pardon the pun.

Need to be brought up to date. LED vs HID

If you're going for the 120 size, I would suggest the taller 220 tents so you have the extra headroom for growing some taller plants later on. The price is essentially the same. https://www.1-hydroponics.co.uk/grow-tents/green-qube-grow-tents/green-qube-v-gq120l-120-x-120-x-220cm.html...
