    Blueberries in the water?

LOL, mine too...I've only done lime consentrate with one plant last year, after reading it some place. It was noticable, but I prefer my sweet mollasses fed buds...B

How do I beef up the buds?

Mystic -- The best way, since you are so far along, is to mix 3TBS of molasses per gal, and water your plants weekly with this. I've been doing this for several years. It's the best 'bud juice' that can be used. The best study on molasses I've ever read is at the link below. I'm one month into...

    Blueberries in the water?

Mystic -- Are you trying to change the color or the flavor of your plants? Perhaps you're simply looking for an alternative fert. You did not say 'why' you wanted to do this. If you're attemtping to add flavor, it is possible, but it takes a strong concentrate flavoring like lemmon. About...

    Going to try outside

My outside plants started flowering the first week of August. I live just a hair over the 30th latitude north. I have four different strains growing in my flower garden: some finishing early, and the pure sativa's later. It makes the chore of trimming and drying much less hectic. I also do a...

Token, you certainly have a lovely setup. It takes me back to some of my first experimental indoor grows using cfl's. You've created such a perfect hood for those lights. I wish 'way back when', that I had your ingenuity. Later on, I discovered larger wattage compacts, that also increased my...

Help choose between 2 diff dwc setups

I get the fittings from my friendly hydro shop guy. They're very standard. Hell, if you lived next door, I'd give you these. I do use a silicone sealant in the little channel on the rubber grommet, which takes a 7/8" wood bit. Never had a leak. I'm goin to convert all my 5 gal dwc buckets for...

Help choose between 2 diff dwc setups

Blue...I wanted to keep up with your thread, but I've been away a few days. Okay, I'll do my best to outline what you're in store for with Four 5 gal DWC's going at one time. Most of the points I'm going to make are not opinions, or 'guessin': They come from many errors made in the past, and...

    Need help with PH Tests!

I've had mine for around three years, and it continues to give good readings in soil. I also have a digital pH/ppm meter that I use for dwc and coco solutions. As far as soil growing is concerned, the probes work well for me. The like a moisture meter probe, the tips are made of diffrent...

Help choose between 2 diff dwc setups

"In reality", for 6 or 7 weeks of dwc vegetative growth, you'll have massive plants to deal with. I have seven successful dwc grows behind me, and I'm simply trying to give you fair warning and sound advice, not diss your thoughts on the subject. Doing 'hand transfers' into spare buckets is fine...

Help choose between 2 diff dwc setups

Old Blue, In my experience, if you veg clones for eight weeks, you're going to have some monster plants using DWC. If your intention is to have finished plants at 3' to 4' tall, you'll need to start flowering clones at about one foot. They'll grow a great deal more during flowering. Also...

    250 hps question

A rule I use with HID's is to place my hand at the top of the plant canopy, and leave it there for one minute. If the back of your hand becomes warm, raise the light slightly to a point it's comfortable. As the plant grows, maintain this distance. This has worked well for me. Hope this helps...B

    Need help with PH Tests!

There are inexpensive <ten dollars or so> PH test probes for soil, available at most good garden centers. They're much like moisture meter probes, and though not pinpoint accuate, will certainly put you in the ballpark. By testing your soil, you can adjust your solultion...B

How close to your light is the top canopy of your plants. It's very possible your light s a bit to close causing, them to become heat stressed and dy out. A rule I use with HID's is to place my hand at the top of the plant, and leave it there for one minute. If the back of your hand becomes...
