you can supplement your water with sugar. Dark sugars are best. search the forums for how to do so. Im pretty sure that you dont want your closet to get below 60, if it does it won't kill them, but it will dramatically slow the growth.

Looks to me like a slight/early nutrient burn. Is that aluminium foil? Is it on the dull side? if not, it should be, the shiny side can focus rays of light so that they burn your leaves causing it to look like a nute burn.

Those flourescents should work much better. But, you should put them down to about 2 in. away from the tops of your plants. You should still see about investing in some of those CFLs, the more light the better, what you have now will work for a little while... those babies will need more light...

Yeah, most of the stories I've heard of laced weed involved amateur smokers buying "chronic", which is actually reggie/schwag with PCP(embalming fluid if you will) or something put on it. Silly people and their greed.
