1000 watt metal halide power

i changed my plan...im going to go now with a single 1000 watt metal halide to supply for my plants. i will start three seeds sometime arround september 10th. this light will supply energy throughout the entire plants life. both for vegetative and flowering. i found a metal halide refurbished for 125 bucks on the net. heres a link: www.insidesun.com

I would use a HPS bulb for flower,

and keep in mind 1000w HID's put off tremendous amount of heat.
Make sure you have good ventilation or vented light hood.

1000 watts is a little much for 3 plants. 250W would be plenty. Get a 400W switchable Ballast so you can just run MH for veg and HPS for flower off one ballast. and have a grow area of 4 square feet. you can easily plant up to 4 plants per sq.ft. giving you 16 plants for a 400W.

i have no choice...must go with the 1000 watt. i can get past the heat, its just im wondering..wont the plants be much more robust?
