250w hps and seedlings

how far should i have my 250w hps from my seedlings that just poped?

just use the back of ya hand...hold above the canopy..if light to hot for you..its too hot for them...Im thinking like 14 inches...maybe 12

:yeahthat: a lil further away is better then risking too close. They don't need heaps the first week or until the first leaves (not the colys) which ever comes first. Just enough to not cause stretching.
