5 wks into flower and hardly any trichs

Sounds like it could be light leak...those plants won't go into flower very quickly if they are getting any light at all during the dark period...

no there arent any light leaks and the bud formation is normal and looking good just not alot of trichs

If there are no light leaks and all other aspects are on point then it may be something specific to the strain. Give it time and it may blow up in a short amount of time. Make sure you have no leaks thats what it really sounds like

its bagseed that looks sativa dominant, could the longer flowering period be the reason the crystal production is slow? its only at 5 weeks and im thinking about letting it go ten.

Yes!! It could be 10 weeks for sativa and make sure you got room they get real tall. If they look good and healthy they will mature

Yep, if it's a sativa, give her some time, she'll come on later...

if she is Sativa she could go to 12wks,maybe longer, and 5 weeks in,i`d say you have nothing to worry about. but, don`t go crazy with the nutes dude-exactly something like that "could" delay flower.
