Hey Guys n Gals just wondering what best amount of flowering time is good for an auto strain

18-6 wld be the least amount of light I wld use on autos...20-4 is what a lot of auto breeders recommend and 24-0 is what I wld run them on since they wld be in my veg tent. Jmo

When it comes to finish times for autos I check the trichs just like regular photo period plants....I used to harvest at all cloudy or 5 %amber...you need a pocket microscope or jewelers loupe.

Every strain is different. What are ya growing? I agree wit HL and always use a pocket microscope to detect the color of trichs. Clear trichs means its to early Cloudy is perfect Amber is to late. It also depends on what kind of buzz you like, some people prefer waiting longer as it promotes more of a couch lock buzz.

From what I have read, if yu are using for meds then yu want more amber trics as that is when the THC falls off and more CBD is formed. The CBD is the chemical that gives the couch lock and pain relief, and helps with insomnia...As far as finishing time, everything I read shows that the autos finish typically in 8-10 weeks of flower, but some advertise finishing in 50 days of flower. On the "LegendsSeeds" and "GreenLifeSeeds" websites they have all the varieties listed and most give alot of the phenotypes, finish time, yeild, etc., its pretty cool for comparing the different strains but I wouldn't put complete faith in the information that they give as breeders are subject to "fudge" the numbers a little.

you could call it my meds, i do. Haha, But i was just curious i've done a fair bit of reading as well got the seeds from attitude but i dont have a conditions to get the yeilds they talk about. Thanks tho ill keep a good eye and go from there. Shes only into week 3 of flower so i got a little to wait thanks again.

Autos basically live x number of weeks from germination. The weeks of flowering really doesn't mean anything like with a photo strain. How many weeks since germination?

42 days wld mean you hve at least another 18 min....probably more like 3-4 weeks. I wld start checking trichs daily in another week 10 days. jmo

i alwas give my autos week or tow more than the seed breeder says,,,,best to chek the tirches when it says they should be down,,,,iv found the 10wk and 8wk from seed to harvest wopers[lies] no auto is finshed flowering in as lil as 6weeks regardless to what the breeder says on the pack....get a scope or a mag glass and watch...peace [j]

/agree, they are quick but not that quick, I run autos mostly for the ability to have flowering plants under the same light as my moms more than anything. Alittle extra meds never hurts. I tried CS treatments to self some for seeds but failed epicly, cloning works wonderfully tho
