Mr.Wakenbake said:Whatever it is you choose to grow be sure that you don't spend a lot of money on the strain.
Normally, your first grow is a learning experience, as is normally the next couple of grows. Eventually, you will learn enough from DOING IT and will want to spend a pretty penny on something stellar.
You don't want to waste hundreds of dollars on a strain that you could end up killing in the end. Spend as little as possible on a good indica dominate strain. Anything Mandala has is excellent and is easy to grow. AK48 from Nirvana, nirvana Blue Mistic, Big Bud, or any of their indica dominate strains should be okay for you.
Honestly, the main goal of your first grow is to just get to harvest without killing them and harvest SOMETHING.
Start out with something you won't mind killing. Because it could happen.
All of the comments here are top notch... Hick, Legalize and 2 dog are spot on.

legalize_freedom said:No offense meant by this but...this may be true if you want a BIG yeild of Mediocre buds
I'd rather have an average yeild of primo! I grew 2 packs of big bud a few yrs back, and was not happy with any of it...if your in it to sell it maybe, but if you want to have some killer I would avoid it. Not one keeper pheno out of 20 seeds IMO.
I'd go with the NL#5...I like Atomics, it's cheap and potent. I also just grew out this C99 x AK47 by Joey Weed, and I think it would be a great one for newbies...it has a low odor, good yeild, killer high...and was very easy to grow. It can take alot of nutes, that I've found newbies like to overuse...lol...
Good Luck to you!
ms_1 said:Yeah, fair enough. I should qualify my statement by saying I always let my girls go past when most people would harvest because I prefer the medical benefits I get from the other cannabinoids besides THC and let my trichs turn just about all amber/red and BB has worked well for this. ymmv if you are looking for THC.
I second (or third) the NL recommendation.
