What nutes did you end up using? Notice any difference in leaf color yet. Those leaves look light maybe just the lighting tho

I agree with submarinegirl. I use my journals primarily to keep track of what I have done so I can improve on future grows. Also, if someone sees something you are doing that may cause issues, you may be able to head off a problem before it becomes a big problem.

Oh boy. Well then here we go.
I go by Billyk here, that’s the name I’ve had since CompuServe days. That’s pre internet as we know it! I’m known as WWWillie in most canna circles but somehow that didn’t work here, no matter. I’m just happy to be here!

I love to grow, it makes me happy. It makes the folks I give it to happy too ! ! My profession forces me to comply with the laws in my state so I have to give away a fair amount, but then how cool is it to turn folks on!

I’m heavily involved in another canna site and most of my sponsors come from there. It’s all over my room and stuff. I love it there and I’ve been there for 9 years now. I found this place, looked around a bit and thought I’d stop in and say hello. I have no agenda, I just wanted a low pressure, happy, fun sharing of my growing, away from having to produce for my sponsors. I hope that’s ok with the Admins, and mods.

Due to life and family stuff I had to give up using and anything else canna related. When it became legal in my state I immediately found out how to get my medical card and the rest is. . . Well here we are.

I built a room in my basement to accommodate my passion. It’s been evolving for some time now. I used to have tents but have since moved to an open format.
Here’s some pictures:
Welcome to my Grow Room. Apologies for the mess, but I am a fairly hectic person. I love organization but have a hard time reigning in the chaos.

Filtered water is a must have. I’ve gone the RO and distilled route but there is absolutely no buffering in those so my tap water with the chlorine and crap filtered out there is still some alkaline for buffer in there.

It just occurred to me that I need to be clear what is sponsored, etc. I will be sure to to let you know. First and bigly I do not have any nutrient sponsors, everything I use is my own, purchased by me. Beans and lights. . . Well I’ll be sure to let you know.

I use Oregon’s Only Nectar For The Gods line of nutrients. I follow what they call the Roman Regimen. It’s 14 bottles!

To make life easier I invested in a “Stirracane” heavy duty magnetic mixer. So, so worth it. This is it, the black bucket underneath. Also my watering wand. I have to say that plumbing the filtered water into my room was among the top things I’ve done in there.

pH is way important, especially in a Ca based line like NTFG. Good tools and proper care is essential. I cannot stress enough what this brought to my ability to grow. And importantly you don’t have to break the bank. I used a $15.00 meter for many years. The key is storage and calibration. I like the ones I have now they work nicely but there’s other good ones out there.

Lights, I love lights, I’ll love messing with lighting. I have all kinds too. UV, far red, infra red, blue, deep blue, full spectrum, commercial, DIY, ahhhhh. . . somebody stop me.
Being who I am it’s a bit hectic but I have fun and that what counts for me.

In the far corner is a bar with all my custom LEDs. Who knows what I’m up to, stoners, ya’ know.

Argh, almost forgot, environment. I use InkBird Rh and temp controllers connected to an A/C, heater, dehumidifier, humidifier. Other than good pH control, environment is the next critical factor. My setup isn’t ideal and I fiddle with it endlessly but it really makes a difference.

I also use this widget from Pulse. It was provided to me for no cost from them. It is a remote telemetry device that monitors temp, RH, light, calculates VPD, you know the shit you need to keep track of.

Good Morning,
Sunday update time. Moved stuff around and tidied up a bit. Took down the benches, etc. Big feed too. Using the Roman Regimen for the NTFG line, added MagAmped, SLF-100, Recharge, Dr Earth’s Metabolic Transformer. The NTFG pH is very low so I make sure to raise it before adding benes. As far as benes go I use Recharge, URB, Dr. Earth’s Metabolic Transformer and I regularly brew a nice AACT compost tea.
Fat Pete’s Cookies are really doing nicely. Good structure, nice branching, building nice flower sites.

Here’s the other two hybrids looking swell. 5 beans made it and look to be all girls. W00t!

Hey Now,
Here’s some more stuff for you. We recently updated, upgraded, whatever you call it, the electric service in our slightly over 100 year old house. It was a wiring museum, knob and tube, you name it. All replaced, a 200 amp smart load center and everything else right out to the pole. So I took advantage of that and had 4, 20 amp circuit’s with GFA, smart breakers.

This is my LED “experimental” bar it has two far red/infrared, one deep blue, some green stars as well. That’s the driver board on the wall. Plan is to automate with some raspberry pi / arduino legerdemain.

The most important part of any garden, the notebook!!

Thanks for the kind words. This room has been a process of many years. I take pride and a lot of enjoyment in it all. And oh hell yes to the mad scientist aspect. It’s almost my favorite part!!
