Nice set up...I use a 1000 watt Vivosun ballast ,it replaced a Purple Reign 1000 watt that failed at 6 years....a cap had started leaking in it. I never use the super Lumens...I do not over drive equipment.I assume the super lumen setting adds 10% to watt out put, most HPS bulbs can be over driven at 10% increase. 85 degrees is tolerable but if you can lower the temps to 78-80 degrees you will have better success. Good luck with it all...Peace

My temps are going up to like 89 how do I get them down

You will need to increase the air flow into your tent...you will need to have a fan pulling or pushing air into tent....then you will have a outlet vent to exhaust the hot air, preferably outdoors. The cooler intake air will lower the temps in the tent. If you do not have an air cooled hood for the HPS it will be hard to control temp.If odor is an issue a carbon filter is a good ideal as well.

I have all this I have a duct set up to one end of my tube reflectorand the other end left open so with a exgust fan scking it out I just dide ot that way hoping this will help I figure this wayit is not only pulling the heat from the light but also hot air fro tenrt at the sametime I have a tower fan osolating in the tent also have a intake fan downlow blowing air into the tent

I s the room air nice and cool?...HPS are extremely hot....next option is a LED light for that tent. I have battle the heat issue in a 5x5 closet and at 31.5 lat. its a loosing battle in the summer time. At 89 degrees that is hitting the extreme level so you will need to cool it more, your girls will love you for this!

If you have a basement and an area you can set up your tent there, your ambient air temperature drawn into your tent will be much cooler so your tent will be cooler. I grow in my basement and the room stays in the low 60’s to upper 50’s year round. Otherwise you could get an air conditioner for your grow room. Or as hollowpoint stayed, go with an LED light. An inexpensive unit can be bought for about the same price as an A/C unit. 89 degrees is too hot. Good luck to you.

Have you tried running the air right though the cooling hood instead of sucking the air from tent?
I have used 2 fans in the past one to suck and filter air from tent , and one just to pull cool air across the bulb to keep the light cooler
I assume you have a sealed hood with outlet for ducting on each side .

so would like to just update I got everything outside right now such nice day
