I know these old timers, many whom are now gone, did a ton for the cause of legalization and what not. I really respect that and don't want to sound ungrateful... As I pour over with a fine tooth comb, on evenings when I can't sleep, what was actually enacted in Illinois (The Legal Mumbo Jumbo - Words Themselves) this thought keeps popping in and out of my mind and MAYBE ITS WRONG - - But - - Which one or how many of these old dudes (MFR's) sold the little mom and pop operations out to the big politically connected growers in IL - and all over the US for that matter -- Sold us down the road in the interest of CASH -. I would really like to have a Craft Lic. I'd be willing to report and pay sales tax and all... but the initial fees etc just to be "Considered" - to get into a drawing - to be one of the ones to be possibly selected - Once they finally get around to deciding - who gets to be a craft grower.... You can bet that if I had millions sitting around I would grease the right left hands and get it done - - - But that sucks. I been smoking weed for a bit now today. I might have to re-read this later and take it down. Maybe it was all done by lawyers and everyone else was just stoned. OR - Maybe I'm Looking At It All Wrong - Just something gets me a little when you see some of these guys doing interviews. Like the hair raising on the back of your neck or something. That never used to happen years ago. All these guys were anti-hero's back then - Sort-Of... Time to put down the pinch hitter and finish up outdoor chores. Not much light left today and the freezing cold is on it's way back. Monkey's essay of the day...

Unfortunately, at least in Massachusetts, craft growing is not really all that profitable. The market here is flooded and rigged. If you get a craft license, and it allows you to grow more plants, that would be a benefit but unless you cut out the dispensaries, it will be tough to sell what you grow for much of a profit. Illinois may be different though.

I actually cut that hole right through the side wall of the shed. J & C channel - siding - looks like it is suppose to be there on the outside. When it got down to minus 5 just before last harvest a couple weeks back, that AC froze up. I was scared I was going to have to buy another and that it wouldn't fit through the same hole. Luckly the temps came back up and the AC resumed working right. Boiled up just a little of my terpenes. Bud is still smelly and turned out ok but not how it should have smell wise. That exhaust fan through the ceiling is on a new digital thermostat now for back up. The industrial thermostat (Blue Box on the wall) randomly quit. I actually smoked about 6 whole pinch hits of the stuff Sat when I wrote my essay. When I stood up to go back outside and finish up - holy cow.

Fresh bud porn - - - Haha - Nothing to see here...
Solution: General Hydroponics micro - grow and bloom mixed about 1/2 strength of suggested. A splash of the root stuff from FF that was in my Dirty Dozen - PH staying stable around 5.8 - Heck of a ton of a way to go. Roots just starting to poke through the bottom of the 4 inch baskets.

Fresh Bud Porn - Strains are: Strawberry Snow Cone, Grimm Mints, and Granddaddy Purple - Photoperiod/Fems - All pollenated on purpose by a Northern Lights Auto male. Growing for seeds but I will be getting an album cover out and rolling a couple J's... Still several weeks to go. Not much to see here either.

I bubble at this point mainly to keep the solution ozygenated but I do keep it turned up to where it stays pretty humid inside there. I am going to cover the surface of the box with reflective contact paper. Probably should have before I started it! Pump is on a timer and scheduling for the first little bit seems to always be a work in progress depending on strain and time of year. (RH)

When I changed solution 2 times back, I messed up and left the aquarium heater on a little too long. Between that and I think I had my fan blowing way too much air directly on them and my res too shallow. I ended up burning up some roots. Needless to say, I remixed/changed (start week 3), and stayed on top of res temp like white on rice. Roots have recovered and it is onward bound and down. Res is raised, air pump is on full blast, fan is currently much more passive. I was positive someone was going to catch that something wasn't quite right in that last set of pictures (Big, Carty, Sub? - hahaha) but it was Super Bowl Sunday. Anyhoo. New bud porn and recovered root picts. Wish I could just hit fast forward to the 12/12 part but I got plenty of last run and the one before it to hold me over. This part takes forever. GH Flora series micro, grow, bloom, HydroGuard and a splash of Bush DR. Kangaroots by FF all mixed at 3/4 strength. PH 5.8 and res temp 68.

Fresh pollinated bud porn. Grand Daddy Purple, Grimm Mints and Strawberry Snow Cone are the pictured ladies. Donor dad was Northern Lights Auto by Big Head Seeds. Still got at least 2 weeks to get the seeds to harden up a little more. Summer Fun.
