Ok so I have been having this thought running thru my head for awhile now. Was hoping to see what you all think about it.

Now ideally a cultivator & artisan coop would have people growing/cooking/making tinctures etc etc.. at home and then selling to the public through the coop. This is not achievable at this current time with all the regulations.

I believe the only way to do this would be to have all products grown and/or produced in the coop facility itself. The solution is a big facility where coop members can grow thier crops in thier own individual rooms. Sort of like a climate controlled storage facility. It would also have kitchens for edibles and labs for concentrates.

I believe this is the way the smaller growers and artisans can show off thier talents. I truly believe weed grown in small gardens with lots of love is the best. Way better than that factory grown cannabis.

Does this seem do able? What are your thoughts? Am I just living a pipe dream?

not being able to tend to my crop at home is a definite no for me...besides, where I live cultivation is 20 years to life...
Obviously ideally it would be at home. I just never see them letting home grown sold legally. I just hate that the little guy has no shot. As far as tending to the crop, I would figure this grow rooms would be viewable from your phone with all important readings available to view whenever.

sounds sort of like many of the small farmers markets where gardeners get together and trade and sale their crops

but the crops are grown at their farms and brought to the co-op

personally I would not grow in a building with other growers unless I knew them all personally and what experience they have growing ganja

because all it would take is one idiot to contaminate the e ergo es grow with mites or some bad pathogens

and of course there would have to be organizing all the logistics so that means there has to be someone in charge and then there are all the problems dealing with different people and everyone has the right ideas

what a headache

no , I will stick to my mom and pop hustle and deal with people who operate in our informal economy

illegal weed is good for the informal economy , it keeps prices up

tending the crops from your phone is like watching porn...doesn't really do the trick for me, not that I haven't looked at it...;)
I understand this, its not ideal at all. Just trying to figure how to make it work in the new legal world of weed.

Exactly and when I first. thought of this that was my initial thinking, but most states require seed to sale tracking. Now maybe there is a easy way for homegrow to implement, i will need to look into that. If thats the case the my inital idea was cultivators bring flower coop tests it then will purchase from cultivator. Then the Artisans (concentrates, edibles, jewery, clothing) can use the products from the coop to create thier items. Just think of all the parts of the plant that many of us may discard, other people can do amazing things with.

Yes indeed i thought of this aswell, as far as contamination goes each room would be completely isolated. Individual heat and cooling and ventalation. As far the idiots go its a coop everything is voted on. You get voted in and can get voted out if your break the rules.

Headache indeed, but nothing good comes easy. I am trying to let the small farmer/artisan have a chance in this new Legal marijuana market. Why should we be forced to the black market while the big money just keeps racking in big money.

Thanks for the feedback guys

good luck bbb , I think it is a good idea but challenging at the same time

maybe you can look into some tobacco co-ops and see how they are set up and run

I live in rural Missouri, agriculture coops are more then just place to bring your product. Its where all the farmers hang out and talk about their crops and new techniques and fertilizers etc etc.. Coops offer classes to the coop member to educate and help improve the knowledge of the growers. The dream of a coop obviously isn't one that can happen easily or quickly. As legalization sweeps the country I hope more farmers don't feel the need to hide. The cannabis community shouldn't be forced or feel the need to hide in anonymity.

I think my first step maybe to create aMissouri Cannabis Cultivator & Artisan Club to gather like minded people and see where it goes from there.
