Has anyone ever heard of charcoal being used in a cordon srubber? its a lot cheaper the activated cardon that you can get at a pet store but will it work?

on ebay you can find Activated charcol thats sold by the pound.. i bought mine for 3.13 CND per pound.. so thats like 2.50 american or somthing.

you can buy charcol to build yer own carbon filter. or replace the old stuff in 1 you already have. you can also wash and clean the old stuff and reuse. as well as dry cleaning the outside cover. are you speaking of coal? 4th grade stuff? if so then no, this is not charcol.

i got a 5 gallon bucket of activated carbon on ebay for about 55 bucks shipping included.
