Hello guys so my clones were doing real good 10 days later started showing roots than this started happening I noticed I had lots of fungus gnats in my room they all started rotting and mold. Why is it happening is it from the fungus gnats?

Ok but what is the problem? I also forgot to mention I spray them with some plant therapy when I seen some mold and the gnats. Can that have cause it to dry and look burned? Not all of them look like that half of them look nice and healthy

Mold? What kind of mold? Do you have a gnat yellow sticky to catch some of the gnats?

Fungus gnats bring fungus. Like Pythium. People think they aren’t so bad, I know for a fact they can halve your crop.

How weird i have never seen that happen to clones.

did you happen to use nutes in your water? Did you test the ph of the water you are using to clone in? What was your clone process? Sometimes all the clones don’t make it. I was lucky my last clones all made it. I just used aloe from my grandmas plant and put them into root root plugs sorta like what you are using. Looks like they were starting to grow new leaves then are dying off? The gnats can definitely cause problems but those sticky yellow traps do a pretty good job controlling them.

Hey Bizzy,
It looks like you have some fungal issues. Fungus gnats can be a vector for multiple pathogens (as well as eating your roots) but many plant pathogens are endemic, and will colonize your plants whenever environmental conditions permit.

Clone domes are convenient, but they limit air movement, and high humidity and stagnant air can foster pathogen development.

I would recommend soaking your plugs in a bioprotectant like Root Shield to suppress pathogen development. Increasing airflow by opening your vents sooner and removing the dome more often will help as well.

For larger grows, I don't use domes, but build cloning chambers where humidity, temps, and airflow can be managed.

I hope this helps.

I got fungus knats on my second batch I just started, they didn't do that. 🤯I put diatomaceous earth on top of the soil 4 days ago and I think they're pretty much gone. I look pretty good and I might see one or two a day. I also let my soil almost completely dry out once and that seemed to help a lot.

what temps are you experiencing...
