what does the guy mean when he says that you want to get as many nodes as possible when you cut it? Does that mean that you want to cut it where nodes meet, and the more the better for the root growth?

the more nodes under to dirt the better.do the diagnal cut just under the branches,then cut them off and put the spot where the branches where under the dirt.
