Does Chocolate Thai still exist?

When I was a kid in the 80's I heard about Chocolate Thai all the time but I never smoked any. There's seedbanks that sell Chocolate Thai seeds but I don't know if they're the real thing. Does anyone who's smoked the real thing know if these seeds are real Chocolate Thai? Does the strain still exist? Pics much appreciated.

A legendary landrace strain from Thailand, Chocolate Thai first made an appearance in the U.S. sometime in the 1960s as “Thai sticks,” spindly flowers tied to a bamboo stick that were renowned for their potent high. Old school heads remember these buds as slender and airy, medium-to-dark brown in color, and possessing a unique chocolate-coffee aroma. Due to the fact that it was a long-flowering, low-yielding sativa strain that always produced male flowers and seeds and was incredibly difficult to clone and grow, it is most likely that Chocolate Thai no longer exists in its original form. There are several seed lines sold under the name, but these have either been crossbred to provide some stabilizing traits or are of unknown provenance.

well , maybe I should check my seeds stock but I’m pretty sure I have some real choc Thai seeds stashed away......had some growing in our rotation three years ago and I’m pretty sure we made a lot of seeds that year

so I would say yes it is still around

I remember they used to always call it Thai sticks. And I remember they said it was a pain in the @$$ to grow and it was usually hermy but I always wanted to try it so I need a lot of patience lol.

Haven’t seen that since the 90s has it and yes tasted just like a good chocolate bar!
