How’s it going MP CRUIZ0727 here.
I’m new to growing and new to journaling.

I’ve had a couple posts on MP but figured this is more appropriate. I started germination back on July 17th. First set of photos are from July 23rd through August 5th.

Here we are today August 25th, two weeks over and now at the start of my third week of Veg. I just had another feeding last night as well.

So I’ve now got some questions for you all.

Do you see anything wrong with my plants? Should I be topping or growing Au Natural? Anything else I should be doing for successful ladies?

To top or not to top is always the question.i always top unless I'm running, flowering out a bed of girls in a s.o.g. setup.its all about your needs, space and preference.your girls look healthy bro, I'd keep it simple.for the sake of keeping the canopy as level as possible for the three girls I'd either top all or I'd top none.you could always raise the one you top but I'm picky,it's all got to be as uniform as possible.happy growing bro

IMO, topping is a method to control the height of the plants usually used for indoor gardens. Have done so many times. Fimming is another form of topping that results in multiple tops, if you are successful at it. Not so easy to do.

About how tall do you typically let your plants grow before you top them?

How’s it going MP,

I’ve now topped two of my plants. The two I topped now have 8 total nodes each.

The third plant I’m going to let grow naturally and practice more LST with it instead. I’m going to let it stretch it’s branches a little more before I start.

Last picture, is the plant that I won’t be topping.

Any suggestions at this point or anything else I should be doing? What do you guys do or change at this point?

Nice progress and the girls are beautiful.just keep doing what you been doing bro.as far as topping again that is just up to you,I usually top at multiple node sights multiple times up until about a week from flip.here is an example, this girl is a gsc, girl scout cookies and she is a clone from her mother I just got done flowering and harvesting in the last run.i like to top multiple times thru a two 6 to 8 week veg.i been scrogging since getting my hands back in the dirt so it's in my interest to top multiple times and force a even canopy.i want to be able to pull my 1200 watts of raw hps power down as close to the girls as I can and get that uniform light distribution over your even perfect canopy.well Happy growing to ya bro, check me out over at back in the saddle again.

Well MP I think I’ve successfully grown two male plants. Still unsure of the third plant but the two I topped look male to me.

What do you all think?
First Picture is plant 1
Second picture is plant 2 (Slightly unsure)
Third I’m very unsure of right now (un-topped)

Yep,,1st pic definitely a male and the 2nd pic possibly a male. Cant tell on the third.

You said you were trying to get males anyways right to breed your own strain

So MP,

I’ve now taken my two dudes and bagged em up and sent them packing. Had a little emotional moment saying goodbye to both of them. So much time and effort into growing them for my very first set ever. Oh well, always a silver lining. As I mentioned to a friend the other day, though they didn’t turn out to be females I did gain valuable experience growing them. That’s what’s its all about right, learning and growing as a home gardener and than reaping the benefits. At least we still have one more plant. TBD
