It takes more time. Get a jewelers eye loupe to check the trichomes. Trichomes are the small globes on top of little stalks all over the buds. They start out clear then get milky and eventually amber in color. The more amber, the more couch lock. Harlequin as I recall is a high CBD strain which I have not grown but I assume gauging ripeness is similar to high THC strains. Maybe search for grow journals on a Harlequin strain or two. They look healthy do keep doing what you have been. Also, never trust a breeders ‘flower time’. It is usually longer.

Hi everyone need some input from experience growers here. I have a small NFT that I made real simple. All of my plants have grown and not died. I am using just white shop lights 2 4 feet that cost 13 bucks each. Do you think I can get bigger buds if I use better lights. I followed all the advice on here about what to use and what stage of grow, drying curing etc. I have much to learn as every grow seems different as what the plants need. The buds are small is it because of the crappy lights. I am trying.

The buds are small because they are not ready. But yes, better lights will help improve your quality and quantity. There are relatively cheap alternatives to shop lights out there but not for $13 each. None of my lights cost more than $100 but I am jealous of those $1000 plus lights. I just can’t justify the cost for personal use growing.
