Happy Frog is 60% forest floor products with some peat and perlite but is also chock full of bennies.....hence the question.

so think i will shoot for 6.3-6.5

With organic gardening, as long as your water source is relatively neutral(I don’t have a range to quote since I don’t check pH but I know my brother ran into nute lockout when his tap water was 8.2), the organisms in the soil maintain optimal pH. I used some Happy Frog last summer. It holds water more than I like. I would add some perlite to give it better drainage(probably a cup per gallon of soil).
