Whenever I had symtoms that varied widely and spread throughout the plants, it would mostly be because of root problems. I have also experienced root problems at temps at or below 28 so it is possible that you are suffocating the root system and causing root rot. raising the ppm will just escalate the issue. Are you watering too often? What is the soil mix? If the soil feels too heavy and this issue is suspect, try ventilating a lot and cut back the watering till they dry and the next watering, add clean water and fresh ferts and water just to moisten the soil.
