How to estimate my electric bill ?

can i look at my electric bill and figure cost to run a 600w ?
whaqt do i look for on the bill ?

Look at what you pay per kilowatt hour. Many companies have an elevated scale--the more you use, the more you pay. Watts=Amperage times voltage. Take the amperage of your equipment (lights, fans, pumps, etc), multiply times your voltage and this is your watts. Divide by 1000 and this is kilowatts. Figure out how many hours a day you will be powered up and multiply this times your kilowatts. These are kilowatt hours. Multiply by you kilowatt cost and this gives you daily costs for your equipment.

A 600 runs me about 30 cents a day, but it depends on your rate.

it has fuel adjustment rate -0.0076600
environmental surcharge rate, 0.0413000

is this what i need ?

No, I don't think so. You need to know how much you pay per kilowatt--those just look like surcharges. This is from one of my bills:

Summer Energy Charge 0-800 kWh @ $0.071026 per kWh...........................................$56.82
Summer Energy Charge 801-2000 kWh @ $0.08653 per kWh........................................$70.09

Then the surcharges come after that and are added in.

current month - kwh used- 1294, cost/day-4.62

my sons bill shows cost per kilowatt but hes on another company.
im not good at math.

assuming a 30 day billing cycle, 4.62x30=$138.60 / 1294 = .1071 (10 cents an hour)

So a 600 watt light is ~ 6 cents an hour
