How do you guys hang heavier lights from the roof? I finally have something that a regular hook in my dry wall roof can't support.

I have two pieces of Angle iron tapped into my wall, hang my light on them, then just raise and lower as needed via hangers.

Screw a 1x2 into the ceiling stud. The drill eye hooks in and use pro-grips for the lights. There the bomb.

I use the pro grip rope ratchets too, they are awesome.

As long as you can get it anchored in the studs (not just the drywall) it should hold just fine.

I have a piece of 1 x 6 that runs the length of my space and is connected to all the studs along the way to hang lights from.

Pro Grips are some of the best $$$$ I have spent. Especially with RA in my spine.
