Hps for veg?

Hello all. Just wondering if a 600w remote ballast HPS light would be ok for both veg and flower? Im curently using fluros so it would be better than that right or is HPS mainly for flower thanx for any replys.

From what i was told and i've read, HPS has more usable light for MJ plants than MH or flouro's. so it would be okay to veg with hps, but I was told that seedling are good under flouros fro the first two weeks then you could move them into HPS light.

Once the clones/sprouts have good roots established you can go for it, just not too close. The idea has always been kicking around of MH for veg. and HPS for flower but either will work fine. I've found no noticable difference.
