Humidifier speading algae

I was wondering, if you have a humidifier with a clear water resovoir could it spread algae into the air to eventually affect your plants?
Seems logical that it would but then there might be something scientific that I might not know.
What do you think?
 
I don't think algae would be a problem. But you would want to watch the relative humidity though. If it gets too high it can promote a mold problem in the grow room. I'd only use it if your have a low R/H. Like 20% or less.
