I started growing cannabis like five years ago

I stopped after the first year am now am growing again I still haven’t been able to grow a healthy plant and I have been told by my pcp that I need to slow down or better yet stop using opiates. What bugs me is how I fell health wise an my age because I actually enjoy properly prepared cannabis I just can’t seem to prepare it myself an I’m close to fifty years of age makes me wonder if I will get to actually enjoy it before I’m old enough that I don’t want it anymore, does anyone else fell this way about their grows ?
