The indoor cultivation of cannabis requires the following basic conditions:
1. Lights. The light can be HPS/HID, CFL or LED. These lights have their own advantages and disadvantages. However, it is recommended that novice growers use LED lights.
2. Suitable growth medium-soil/soilless (hydroponics). For the sake of simplicity, hydroponics, which requires more thought and nuance, will not be considered.
3. The correct pH. Hemp prefers a growth medium. If it is in soil, the pH of the feed should be between 6 and 7, and if the soilless (hydroponic) setting is used, the pH should be between 5.5 and 6.5.
4. Nutrition. Nutrition is a basic part of plant life. They help plants grow during the vegetative period and refine their buds throughout the end of the flowering period.
5. Controlled growth space.
The indoor cultivation of cannabis was abandoned because of the high cost. In addition, the adaptability of cannabis is actually very strong, and it can survive in the harsh natural climate. More people prefer to grow it outdoors. However, the benefits of indoor cultivation of cannabis far exceed the losses caused by costs. In a controlled indoor environment, cannabis can be harvested multiple times a year, breaking the limitation of less outdoor harvest.
Choose Ideal Growth Space
Choosing a growth room is like choosing your first car. You can view all the new and expensive cars you want, but the reality is that you will only spend so much money, and you don’t want to spend too much money on the car. By chance, you think that growth is not for you. First, you need to check the space being used. Do you have a tent, a closet or an entire room? Naturally, your spending will vary based on the scale you want to grow. A tent is a cheap and effective way for you to grow up for the first time. Even if you can enter the entire room, in some cases it is better to install one or more smaller tents in the room.
Tent
The growth tent is exactly what it looks like. Durable, waterproof, and leak-proof tents with reflective walls can help ensure that your growth is as easy as possible. These are available in many sizes, so you can choose the one that best suits your space and needs. Most tents are equipped with support poles to hang your lights, cutouts suitable for hanging fans and zip locks to draw closer and securely close the growing space.
Fan
To ensure the correct temperature and relative humidity, you need to ensure proper control of the heat and moisture released during the growth process. You can use an exhaust fan to remove excess heat from the light, or you can use an air conditioner to help reduce temperature and humidity. Although this is not the first step for indoor growers, but especially those who are trying to reduce costs, this may be a useful solution if you have no choice. Either way, ensuring adequate ventilation is crucial. Keep the tent below 30°C.
Carbon Filter
A carbon filter is an air filter that allows the "contaminated" air to pass through the activated carbon mesh to remove all odors, and then completely discharge the odorless side. This is a proven method that removes aromas associated with growth and is the industry standard for commercial growers. The carbon filter is usually placed inside the tent and connected to the exhaust fan through a duct. This is necessary for invisibility.
pH Meter/Bar
Cannabis prefers to grow at a certain pH value, depending on your growth medium. The pH value of soil growth is between 6 and 7, while the soil-less cultivation technology is between 5.5 and 6.5. A pH meter or indicator strip is essential for every grower's kit. You need to ensure that the pH of the feed matches the selected medium.
