IR Blocker?

Has anyone used the "IR Blocker" that HTG Supply sells? I was wondering if it actually works or if it was just another gimmick? Thanks

I think i use the stuff diamond mylar if im not mistaken not been caught yet and had few choppers over my 2 x 600w hps's in attic twice this year and i mean on top of my house.
