I've noticed a couple of these guys on my plants, do these guys eat other bugs?

NO, they will wipe out your garden. They eat everything in sight. Kill them now. I haven't seen any this year but they wiped out my grapes and did lots of damage to my veggie garden the last two years. Only started seeing them here 3 or 4 years ago but they eat the roots of my lawn before hatching....grubs and then turn in monsters.

Good luck.

It didn't take long to fill the bag up.
For anyone having trouble with Japanese Beetles, here's a pic of a trap with a couple of days "catch." Bees apparently not stupid enough to be attracted.
Just a squirt of lemon or orange scented dish soap does the trick. Doesn't get every one, but it really cuts down on overall infestation.
Yellow, orange, or white funnels work best. Red...no.
