Anybody here ever use Jiffy Pellets to root clones in? I picked up a tray of 25 pellets and wanted to try them out. Are they any good for sprouting seeds?

I used them for the first time last crop for starting 8 clones. I wasnt sure if they were good to use or not, but, all but one did root. I doubt if it was the jiffy pellets fault, but, they did seem to take a long time to show root (14-16 days). Only seeds ive done in these are ornamental flowers, for which they work great.

I find the PH is a lil off...but many use em with great success....i'm not one of em LOL Gave me nothing but problems. but thats just me.

I've seen those same kind of pellets, except made out of coco coir. They are better for the enviroment, as peat is strip mined. Coir also has better pH.

I just did 4 clones in jiffy pellets with 100% success. Had roots in 1 week. I used ph adjusted water to get them going.
