I was told that the male plant has no THC, if this is correct is it legal to grow in Al.? Does the male have any trace of THC.

The male will not get you high. no thc...no nothing. IF it is illegal to have marijuana then males are illegal too.

it's all classed as cannabis (or cannabis-sativa.. which was thought could be a loophole for growing indica, but sadly isn't )

and (stupidly) industrial hemp is illegal in many places too

I agree. Its sad that we cant figure out a way to take the hemp & make our own fuel. I do believe our economy would prosper mush more so if it wasn't shunned/frowned on like it was/is in some places, by certain people.
