CAL NORML BULLETIN -
1. DEMONSTRATE FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA DURING OBAMA'S CALIFORNIA
TOUR - LA, Oct 24th + SF, Oct 25th
Advocates will be protesting the federal crackdown on medical
marijuana when Obama comes to visit California next Monday -Tuesday.
In Los Angeles, there will be a protest at noon on Oct. 24th at the
Federal Bldg downtown, 255 E. Temple Street. There will be a press
conference with Prop 215 co-author Anna Boyce, who will be demanding a
meeting with the President at the U.S. Attorney's office. (The
President will be visiting elsewhere in west LA, but security will
make him inaccessible).
(The next day in San Francisco, protesters will gather at the
northwest corner of 3rd and Mission, near the W Hotel where Obama will
be attending a fund-raiser lunch. The lunch starts at 11:30 on Oct
25th, but be there early so that we can stake out a visible presence
amidst a likely crowd of other protesters. )
