light questions

i have got a plant thats about 3 1/2 inches.i have got a fan blowing to help the circualtion and a reg. plant light on it. can anyone tell me what kind of light i could use for veg. state and then what kind of light to use for flowering.

Some use CFL light with 2700 lumens per bulb for veg. Search the forum for Wally World Light. I just switched to using this as opposed to my HPS for veg. Cheaper and stays at a cooler temp.

Some use Metal Halide for veg. This is said to be the best but have no basis for comparison as I have never used one.

Some use HPS for veg. I did and it worked great.

HPS for flowering is the way to go IMHO

Metal Halide lighting is by far the best vegetatively... but you absolutely need a High Pressure Sodium for blooming... so unless ur full of money to buy both, u'd be looking for a HPS.

yea although MH can still get you some good smoke- and its known for promoting good trichome production- with an hps your yield will come close to doubling.
