Louisville State Senator introduces bill to legalize medical marijuana

Kentucky State Senator Perry Clark, Democrat from Louisville, has introduced a proposal for the consideration of next year’s General Assembly that will legalize medical marijuana in the Commonwealth. At a news conference last Thursday, Perry said the bill will be named in honor of the late Lexington attorney and perennial political candidate Gatewood Galbraith, who died in January.
Clark admitted that he does not yet have enough votes for the passage of the Gatewood Galbraith Medical Marijuana Memorial Act, saying, "It's going to be very, very difficult." His proposal would allow people who have a prescription for marijuana to get up to 5 ounces of the drug per month and to cultivate up to five marijuana plants at a time.
Admitting that he had used the drug himself in the past, Clark said, "The concept of the prohibition of a medicine is opposed to the very freedoms that this country was once about. It's anathema to freedom ... this is a liberty issue." He referred to marijuana as “the miracle plant.”

Kentucky, of course, is the nation’s leading state for the production of marijuana. The weather here is conducive to the crop, and the state was once a major producer of industrial hemp, during World War II.
If the Kentucky legislature passes the law, the state will join seventeen others that have legalized the medical use of the drug since 1996.

My ? is this:

What happens when EVERY state becomes a medical marijuana state...?
:yay:
