Moisture monitor

I came across this at a surplus/salvage store, pkg of 3 for $1.50. It gets stuck in the pot to check the amount of moisture in the soil. Has anyone seen/tried these? Luster Leaf Products, Inc.
It changes color dependant on the moisture content in the soil. You place them at a depth according to the needs of the plant, deeper=drier soil.

i tried those a while back...didnt like them personally...I like the cheap moister reader ...has a probe stick into soil and tells ya...Dry-----Wet...I like to wait till it says DRY..then feed/water the next light cycle..Hope this helps
