Ours is just starting as well. The giant burns from forest fires leave a flush of mushrooms lasting thru July. Lotsa buyers and pickers making $200 or more a day.

wow i dont know how you guys can eat them things!!!
im not to keen on funguss,,,i picked a load of liberty caps,,, in the month of september when i was a kid,,,, i munched them raw and was surverly triping and ill from them,,,,,no good seeing things and being sick at the same time,,,,i was only 13 and it put me off mushrooms for life.[j]
