Neighbors got jacked.

So, last night I was trimming one of my girls. My house has a very pungent odor, when I trim. I came upstairs to see a the 5-0 sitting outside of my house, with all the lights lit up next door! Being that I was very stoned, I became instantly paranoid!!! I was laying low trying to be very stealth in my own house, trying to see what was going on... I saw an officer walking around by the neighbors garage, and over into my yard with the flashlight, then getting into his squad. Anywho... I found out that someone walked into my neighbors house, in the early a.m. when they were home! Whoever it was, came about 3 ft from my sleeping neighbor, stole some random electronics, Purse, with CC, cell phone, etc, laptop. He awoke and thought it was his wife, and called out to her, too see if it was her. They are okay. I'm stoked that I have my odor contained, so much the 5-0 was right outside my house right after trimming, But the fact that someone just walked right into my neighbors house. I really need to take extra measure around my pad. I can't even imagine for someone to walk into my house and stumble upon me when I was trimming!

While this is not the answer for all it can be a good reason for the theif to stay out of your house.

I lock my doors when I trim, regardless of the time of day or night. I also have dogs. Although they are not guard dogs, they make enough ruckus that anyone would hesitate to enter my home if they did not know them.

LOL--Buds--everyone where I live owns weapons. I do not believe that I know anyone who does not own a gun of some kind. Many people have a "Protected by Smith and Wesson" sticker.

The doorbell rang at 4:00am. I was up. I was thinking it was the teenage girl from across the street might be in trouble (again) so stupid me I opened the door. This big, did I say big drunk bald head (i was thinking skinhead) man came in. I slammed the door, but it had become unlocked and he just came in. I started screaming as his drunken self went through my house and out to the patio. Mr Rb finally came out of the bedroom, ( we were remodeling at the time and we had plastic sheets from ceiling to floor and he couldn't get out fast.) He locked the door on the intruder and i called the cops. He just looked around at the back yard and sat on a chair till the cops came. He thought he was at my neighbors house at a party. Scared me to death. Yes I was growing at the time..no prob there. MY DOGS LICKED HIS HAND AS HE WAS WALKING THROUGH MY HOUSE. Gotta love um.

:rofl: Ohh man. That's too funny. My dog would probably just jump around and want to play too. Though she's a pit bull/lab mix, seeing her through the front window is pretty good to deter a scumbag thief.

I can. They'd be laying on the floor with the scissors stuck in their throat. I don't play fair if you're breaking into my property. That's a death sentence.

Yeah, I did have my doors locked, and my grow spot is in a room, within a room, within a room. And in another room, with in a room. A little fun house! My dog will start to bark and growl at the slightest noise. Whenever I come home after 9-10 P.M. I even get growled and barked at. She keeps thing around my house in check.

I would have been shaking stoneage. Sorry about your neighbors loss. I feel safe from breakins even if im not growing because of my dogs. I live in the woods and a Japanese tosa, south african mastiff and rottweiller/mastiff protect me even thou I dont train them to gaurd or attack, its just their natural instinct.

Rosebud, I once had a couple come into my house, go in the fridge, help themselves to beer and sit at my table, when I came down stairs we were both freaked, samething, they were going to a neighbors party and were from out of town and came into my house, didnt have dogs at the time.

We actually had a situation a few months back where there was a very loud knock on our front door around 11 o'clock at night. Our first reaction was, "that was definitely a law enforcement knock". Very loud and aggressive. I quickly closed up my "smoking box" beside my side of the couch while my wife attempted to restrain our dog, who was barking wildly & jumping against the window on the front door. By the time I got to the front door to look outside (I was not about to open it), there was no one there. Our outside motion lights were on, but no sign of anyone. I'd like to think the sound of a large dog barking uncontrollably deterred the individual from seeing what was on the inside of our house. To this day we have no idea who was there. Nothing was taking from either vehicle (we actually leave them unlocked and the keys in them) and no damage to our property.

As stated earlier, nothing will deter a heavily medicated or drunk individual from entering, but my dog won't let them get much further than a step or two through the front door

I love my pups but there not much guard dogs lol. They will let you know someone is there but its more of a "Hey someone is there don't let them get me" kinda bark followed with him hiding between my legs. lol He is a sixty pound chicken , but I love him.

a 16 year old girl walked in on a burglar in her grandparents house near here almost a month ago. she lived up the street with her parents on a lake in a country setting, and it was the grandparents vacation home i think.

she was going to spruce up the place for thier arrival.

he almost beat her to death with a blunt weapon. concussion, broke ribs, ruptured spleen, and even chopped one of her fingers off. very brutal attack.
she nearly died.

man was caught a week later. he was actually in another county jail on other b&e charges, and an investigation lead the police there. shoulda seen this guys rap sheet. b&e, prison escape, felony assualt, fleeing and eluding, kidnapping, torture, animal torture, on and on. a cold looking dude for sure

citizens with tracking dogs and armed, searched the area homes around the lake. he could prolly be called lucky he slid out of the area very quickly. people are fighting back, and so this girl did too. the police say you should remain passive in this type of attack, and thier thinking is the attacker will not do the amount of harm as if you had fought back for you're life.

well i think thats the biggest crock i ever heard. they would not had found this man so quickly if she had not had his dna under her nails, and he was out there roaming for his next action. who was next you know? she was very brave, and she did fight back and because of that directly, he was found.

(i wrote more, then deleted, as it was merely my personal views on anyone entering/attempting to enter my home after sunset.). stay safe...peace...

Funny how they all have that "hi its a cop at your door knock" ive noticed the differance too! I have been stolen from before, when i was 20 i woulda tried to retaliate, in my 30's i woulda tried to bring some serious juju on that thief. Now in my 40's i learn from mine and others experiances and move onward and upward. I had a course of opiate meds that a "family member" found out about, what a fucken nightmare. Glad your ok OP.
