new 400w HPS

hey again dudes,I`ve recently bought a new 4oow hps/MH lamp complete,after having it on for the usual 12 hour period,the ballast seems to feel very hot,is that normal??:joint:

they get pretty warm, but should not be too hot to touch.

Yeah, they'll get hot.... around 85-90 degrees.... it'll feel hotter then it is I always find... but still easily touchable.

yep. i try to keep mine off the floor keeps it a little cooler. but shouldnt be a problem unless you keep it in the grow area.
