Proper Distance?

Hello All,

I'm growing a 5 seedlings that are about 1-week old in my 2x6 closet. How much distance should I have my T5 6-bulb lamp that glows 30,000 lumen?

Currently, I have the light about 3 inches high, but not sure whether i should raise the lamp a bit.

2 out of my 3 feminized autos are not looking good (the 1 that is healthy looks pretty good) and the other strain 2 feminized seedlings just sprouted.

Basically, should i have my lamp higher than 3 inches from seedlings? if so, how far way should they be?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I like to keep a thermo on top of the soil to check the temps right where the seedlings are.

I keep mine temps around 78 for seedlings so I keep the lights about 3-5 inches away from the sprouts.

I've actually had them grow up into the bulbs and be just fine.

I keep my HO T5's barely off the tops of my plants...unless my leaves touch they don't burn....jmo
