Every seed represents both the parent strains as well as its own unique identity. So, if that's true, then every seed technically has its own phenotype. Like children of the same parents. They all share a lot of similarities, but with their own uniqueness. Kind of like pheno hunting. Once you find what you want, with the F1's you'll still get a wide variety. It's not until you get to the F2's and F3's where they all start showing same traits.

GOOD TO KNOW THANKS

paraphrasing a few sites of course. But I'm almost that smart. 😊
I had started typing a similar response yesterday but didn’t want to sound like a smartypants… ;)

Genetics and mutations of genes are behind evolution and the reason we are all evolved to be humans(and why we are able to discuss mutations and variations in species or strains or phenotypes). Without evolution, we wouldn’t have anomalies like seedless oranges, cats with 6 toes or geniuses like Einstein. I thought, as you did, that the seeds are likely an F1 or F2 and not stabilized like a higher ‘F’ number would be.
