ok so my plant is about a month and a half old from seed and is under a 100watt Mh and is sitting @ about 20 inches. I cut the main shoot of about 36 hours ago , since it seemed like it wanted to keep streching towards the light, i should have topped it along time ago to make it bushier but will it redirect the engery to my other nodes and make more shoots or was it a stupid idea??? my temps are fine and im in a 8'' pot and im wondering when i should put it into my 4 gallon pot.

i have the light @ about 11 inches

Thats a personal preference.

When I do my clones I transplant them from the hydrocloner to the pot that they spend the rest of their lives with. They are only like 6" at that stage.

Whatever you do, I suggest that you transplat them "only" once as to alieviate any unneeded stress to the plant.
