Gracias Kloned, hope you're smoking good man...here's a "J" in sprit, enjoy!

I almost licked my phone. I've got some good smoke, but not that good. One day.

I loved that Michael phelps was in the background too. Lol

The Papaya we grew was a vigorous mofo man, it was from a feminized seed a couple of years ago. Even though the plant had a massive amount of dense buds on it, at no point did the branches give way or snap. If I remember correctly she was taken down at 65 days from start of 12/12, 50/50 light amber/cloudy. When we smoked it the buzz was definitely UP, electric little buzz, not a full blown KO stone. Nice for the head and spirit, you can be very active on that weed (at least the pheno we had). I think that strain is prolly pretty homogenous by now so it's a safe bet to expect some nice dried fruit flavors and positive cerebral/mood elevation. It can be a little racey for sure and maybe have some less experienced smokers kinda 'noided out ya know. Overall, a fun strain to grow and smoke, no 'nanners or weird hermi stuff either with temps sometimes going over 110F.

Past pic of Papaya...
110! wow! That's hot for the ladies! Nice info though and you got me all excited now!

Holy Crap Rabbit that papaya is HUGE. WOW.
Hope you don't lose the strain that helped your friends wife. We need that.

Well RB it ends up that he came upon an old Affie landrace that treats her symptoms like no other meds have, a breakthrough for them. No doubt he either has a CPHW keeper or at least a gang of beans in the vault.

Here's 5 sprouts of Lala's "Burkle Thai" ([Purple Urkle x Bubblegum] x Lemon Thai that are going here at the moment.

Bro you said it, 110F is crazy hot in a grow room. I was lugging 5 gallon buckets of water into the space and watering them just about daily. The buds came out splendid but I had no room to slack-off for even a day. If it hadn't been for the microherd in the soil it would have been a dreadful grow. I really believe those little suckers are the reason some folks succeed where others have failed when growing in a hostile environment.

The temps are not so wacky now, staying generally between 60-85F.

What's microherd? Anything like molasses? Sounds like a microbe booster... I keep my veg chamber at 75-77F and although I haven't run the flowering tent in this new location, I'm pretty sure I can maintain between 75-82F... I run AC in through a 4" dryer vent hose and my 400 W HPS is air cooled... Without the AC it gets like 90F in about thirty minutes! Can't imagine 12 hours! Anyways, I was also wondering if you topped or LST'd your papaya to get yeilds like that? How long did you veg her!?

Gixx your setup sounds sweet dude, what model AC unit are you using?

Now I have a seperate veg area with 1000 MH and run the "Recreation Room" solely on 12/12, 365 days a year.

I used LST on the Papaya and vegged 24/7 under 2000 watts HPS for just over a month, so like 35 days.

The microherd is all of the bajillions of little microorganisms that live in the soil and you can kinda tune them in harmony with your roots...that's effectively what they do in nature anyhow....and yes, they absolutely love a good diet of unsulfured black strap molasses. They'll keep our babies/mommas/studs more stable, happy and healthy in time of drought, overwatering, over/under fertilization, and to some degree even heat related stresses.

How do you apply the molasses? What ratio to gallon I mean!? Like a tsp. or something? Where can I get the Microherd, hydro shop probably? Sorry about the grilling, I just trying to soak in as much knowledge as I can man! Also, I only use 364 watts of CFL to vegetate, I've used MH and didn't much care for it because it presented heat issues for my grow room... I have heard good things about T5's but haven't cared to look into it because CFL's seem to do well for the tight noding... You or anyone else have experience with T5 and CFL? I'd like to know someone's opinion that's used both! So I'm assuming you didn't top the papaya? You didn't mention it is why I ask... And to answer your question; I'm not sure of the model but it's just an old window unit with the turn dial settings... had a digital ran at one point but had to physically turn it on when the timer clicked over; the old, school is "on" when it's on... The digital can be running when you cut the power, but will not turn back on when the power returns. you can also take the front guard off and use a vent fitting to act as air intake, I have a DIY cage fan attached at the other end inside the tent to assure a nice flow of fresh, cool air; and by having the front guard off, have access to the thermostat which can be moved further from and closer to the unit for frequency control... Be careful though, I accidentally broke the thermostat off of one after about a month of trying to tune it in!

I've used both T5 and a fluorowing (CFL)...both do equally well for tight nodes and growth, the T5 is cooler and cheaper to run though! Fluorowing (CFL) is 125w and is currently sitting in my closet waiting for a use, I am vegging under 2 T5's!

Go with a tablespoon per gallon in soil every 3rd watering, make sure it is black strap unsulfured, it's easy to find at a grocery. The microherd is already in the soil, you can just boost them and add to their numbers by supplementing with mycorrhizae endo/ecto. It's hella cheap too, just get the plain box of Plant Success brand and use a big scoop of it when you transplant, roots love it. Like I said, I use it from bean to bud, life of the plant the whole way. It looks like grey powder and will make you sneeze a lot :) .

Purple Polly, she's purple and shows some polyploidy as well so the name was a given. An oddball pheno of CPHW. Finished by 50 days of 12/12, dupes have been saved :) . This is a special girl.

Holy cow Rabbit...

Thats serious...

What does polyploidy mean?
EDIT: I looked it up and have a good comprehension of what it means but would still like to hear an explanation??

Polyploidy is the possession of more than two sets of chromosomes... Can and does occur naturally in a lot of plants, usually angiosperms (flowering plants). Can be any where from 3 (triploid) to as many as 12 (dodecaploid)! Some animals possess this quality, but s usually a mutation of some sort... Hope this helps broman!

Yeah thats what I read!!

Thanks Rabbit.

No way of knowing how many sets tho without a huge microscope tho right?
