Tell TJ to check the small hoses going into and out of the gas tank as well as the gas lines inside the tank looking into the gas tank via the open gas cap.
Have him also check the gas lines at the carb for any broken or leaking lines.
Pull sparkplug and see if the little gap is clear between the metal spark pieces
ie: just below in between the bent metal part and the metal piece in the ceramic .

Try starter fluid in the spark plug hole and put plug back in and try to start again.

Almost every chain saw I have fixed has been a gas issue, and is a hose , blockage, or dirty carb inside.

Make sure the machine has a spark.
