LOL--everyone wants max yield and to pump out harvest like clock work. However, the reality is that growing cannabis takes knowledge and work and even the best of growers can have problems. So, I'd recommend concentrating on getting back into the swing of things and not worry about max yield yet.

An attic is generally a poor place to grow as it gets so incredibly hot in the summer and freezing in the winter. Long narrow closets with bifold or bypass doors are almost impossible to keep 100% dark during flowering without major work. So, I'm thinking that the bedroom is your best option. If this were my grow, I would buy tents and set up both a vegging tent and a flowering tent. Maybe a 32 x 32 or 36 x 36 for vegging and a 4 x 4 for flowering. This way, you can get what you need for vegging now and get the stuff for flowering in 2 months when you have more money and the plants will be ready to flower. I'd chuck the MH light. I found for vegging that HO T5s work as well or better than MH--they don't have nearly the heat, they spread the light better, and you can get the lights right down on top of the plants. You will still need a small centrifuge type fan for ventilation.

Whether you continue to use your HPS light will be up to you. I get better results with my HPS than I do with my LEDs, but the heat from the HPS is always a bear to deal with. You might want to check out some inexpensive LEDs, if you have the funds or maybe run both the HPS and an LED, depending on the size of your HPS. This of course will also need good ventilation. You may be able to vent both tents with one exhaust fan.

I never kept mother plants. Rather, I would take clones of clones. I would try and do this 3 weeks or so before I planned on putting the girls into 12/12. This way, you have small established plants ready for the vegging tent as soon as you move the vegging girls into flowering. I personally like bubble cloners. You can make a nice one yourself for very little money and they work quite nice. You don't need much room or much light to clone.

Thanks for the input you think I do as well as with led or t5s and also are they not just as pricie if not not more ? I like tent idea tho I do enjoy it but also have family and need pay bills also

The woman speaks wisely but here is another expense that shocked me when I added it up. HPS/MH bulbs and T5 bulbs need to be replaced every other grow, in the case of the t5 you might get 3 grows under your belt before replacing them. Not because they burn out but because they lose their luminosity rapidly. My leds are rated at 90% after 3 years.

Rjb- Welcome to MP !
THG is right about an attic !- Been there tried to do that !- Not good !-- The 2 tents too - listen to her !-- With 2 grow areas U can have many options- I also clone from clones -
I was running a 4 part rotation of mostly indica 60 day finishers - The way my 4 part rotation works is I move something to bloom every 2 weeks - after 2 months they start coming out of bloom for harvest every 2 weeks - I am not a fan of trimming so instead of getting slammed with a big harvest to trim the rotation breaks it down into many smaller harvest !-- Good luck to U Cuz - U got to mess up some to learn -

Watch a few youtube videos and explore using Panda film. With a little ingenuity you can take a room and divide it up to your needs for under $50. I like to have a continuous production and that requires a minimum of a veg space and a flower room.

I also tried the attic thing and it turned out awful. I dedicated a spare room with 3 tents in it. Two 2x4x5ft tents for vegging and cloning. And a 4x4x6.5 ft tent for flowering. I run all LED's now and love not having to replace bulbs and deal with the heat issues. Welcome to MP.

So I got 5 revolver autos 5 acid dough x 5 blue wizard and 5 blue rhino

My favorite for vegging is still a T5 fluoro tube light. I have a 2' 12 tube fixture that I have used for years.
