What type. Of soil is best for roses?l have used like 3 yr old cow manure to time release bone@blood meal mine seem to stay small, but yet they are tea roses.l think they are like annuals cept they can be more costly! Thanks

When growing roses it is best to get a soil sample and see where your garden soil is on the ph scale now. Then you go from there..if you are in a very alkaline soil then you add acids...and opposite if very acid. pete moss, aged compost, etc. Are you growing in clay or sand? I need more info.

Have some that l added some moisture control for garden, then l would keep turning it over trying to get it well draining, but once you metioned the peat sort of clicked .got clay bout 3' down, soil if you put some in your hand, then close stays compact. Will have to get soil sample as well Thank You
